Una Grim finds ghosts troublesome, especially the ones that live in the graveyard which her new home overlooks. When she insists they stop the constant arguing that’s keeping her and her one-eyed pet chicken Haggis awake at night, Una is drawn into solving a mystery that threatens to destroy the village that lies beyond the mysteriously sodden graveyard. It takes Una more than a little fearless ingenuity to outwit an improbable and larger-than-life criminal – and it’s only then she realises that the ghosts she’s unwittingly befriended in the process might not be quite as much trouble as she’d thought after all.
